A Couple More

Trying to follow through on posting more regularly.  Doing more things that can be quickly completed.

Sweet. I like the mixed martial art physique on the leaf blower guy.

Now I look at your work and look at how you might have composited it.

My recent THING made me think about a brush with a texture for someone like the Thing. By the way I was thinking of Kraven, not Kazar.

Like Marty, you figure out the most important thing to stage and do it big.

The guys foot sinking into the lawn. Is that something that came about as you are mixing elements. There is a drawing where the foot isn't cropped at the toe?

Hey, any comparison to Marty is a compliment. You are correct Ellis. The guy has a whole foot behind the strip of grass in front of him. It's like doing art for the Genesis,(which I always kind of enjoyed). There are actually six or so grass "parallax planes".

HAHAHA!!

I seriously "laughed out loud" at this!! Holy crap that is sooo dang good! Great hilarious punchline! Really pays off!

Love the contrast of the colored world and the b&w. So good! The blue-line world is so dreamy... (BTW, I've got something similar to this concept cooked up for a dbl page spread of The Teen Ellis--it's s'posed to be my centerfold!)

I hadn't even read these very flattering references to me in the comments--I'm blushing!

I love the Genesis parallax effect!

Really great piece.

I agree with whoever said yr octopus image should be made into a tee-shirt graphic. I keep seeing this in my head....

TOM--did we post just a minute before/after each other, or are you modestly trying to keep yr post from being "top banana"??

I saw your post early this morning but there were no comments. I didn't want to post above it before anybody had seen yours so I set mine to a minute before.

Soooooo good! I don't know if this is just a part of something larger... this is just so great just on it's own. Great story telling in just 2 panels. LOVE IT. I made the t-shirt comment.

It's something just on its own, but it could always grow into something more. I leave that door open.

What a wonderful, inspirational piece Tom! I'd love to get something like this up on my office wall!
