Aw drats. I just noticed that Gorham posted this on Facebook already.
Edit by SurlyBird: I'll add this new photo of Jared Leto as the Suicide Squad's Joker just to spice things up. Does DC/Warner Bros. not want me to see their movies? Not a fan of any of their movie offerings from the past decade. Boring, dreary, ugly and just bleh. I'll pass, yet again.
Been on a crazy bender doing some boards. They gave me 3 pages of a feature length script to board. Wanted some acting.
Dialog is out of sequence--these are just a couple of snippets thrown together...I did over 200 frames for the 3 pages--as a first pass. Oof. I have a feeling they aren't going to be impressed.
p.s. They haven't finalized their models...and neither have I!
UPDATE: They din't like anything...back to the drawing board....
p.p.s. teaser for Tom Moon's back page drawing in his copy of FUME!
Cobbled together from bits and pieces of art from the stories.
UPDATE: Marty's 2 cents:
Tommy, I love what you're doing...here's my fantasy of including yr wonderful character heads in the header...as you hover over each one, word balloon could pop up with appropriate page title ("COMICS," "CONTACT," etc.). You got such wonderful characters and art!
This was my art project for the day. Nicholas had to do an Earth Day project for second grade. It's due tomorrow. He's had it for two weeks and I just got told about it today. So we quickly built a garbage-gathering-recycling robot by cutting up and taping, old shoe boxes together. Then we applied texture maps with glue. Just like in Maya, only slower!
This gave me an idea for my new business - This week's multi-million-dollar idea:
"Parents! I will do your kid's school art projects for them!
$50 an hour plus material costs.
Tired of those pesky school assignments that force you to take time off from your high-paying job and spend time with your child fumbling with scissors, glue and paper?! Let me do the work. I guarantee a passing grade for your child or your money back! Call 1(800) 555-1212 and make your appointment today!"
I went in planning to do cartoons. I just don't have the imagination to do anything but draw what's in front of me.
Setting this back a day so I don't tread on the recent entries.
Another role playing game commission And here a commission for a convention brochure.
I'm busy on my days off this week. And I have a Con to go to Saturday. And I'm still working on Ms Valkyrie.
When I start getting Social Security in 6 months- I'm definitely quitting Avis. I'm confident now I can make at least as much moolah using my art ability.
Where the New World Comic Con occurs.
To move your goods in- Choice of- those stairs - Or a small elevator.
Think I'll take the elevator.
Hopefully someone is paying me 200 bucks for this.
Almost looks like a Wally Wood job, huh? Thanks for posting the Herb Trimpe tribute, Jimmy. I'd love to see you do a Trimpe Hulk Tribute Cover.
(BTW, funny "your work reminds me of..." moment @ ECCC: Stuart Ng, book maven, came by our table, and while chatting about my old-school'ish style I name-checked Jack Davis in my usual vain, self-congratualtory manner--Stuart gave a lukewarm agreement then added, "Yeah--but I think of you as more of aGraham Ingels." That took me down a peg or three!)
