At the Stuart Ng Books booth:
Idle hands being sold by Stuart Ng. I wish.

All those great Stuart Ng books.
The Stuart Ng filter. You walk into a store and realize you would like to buy everything in it.

Glad you could go to the con to Ben. Quite a few people made it.

I like that con, but I only have been to ComicCon, ComicFest and WonderCon.
Richard Hatch seemed friendly, shouting out "Hi guys, how you doin?" to my wife and me. I would talk to celebs but I don't want to buy their autographs so feel kind of weird, like Chris Farley's talk show host character. Gary Lockwood's existence is inexplicable. How many pictures of Gary Mitchell does he think he can sign in a lifetime?
I was with the Mrs. and only had a few hours before we had to go to Irvine to see the daughter.
The artist alley artists all seemed pretty happy. I got to flip through some dealer portfolios of original comic art, and didn't really get to shop for new, bound books of comic collections. The Kirby Museum booth was lame. I couldn't get to the Kirby.com dealer booth. I struck up a conversation with the guy at TwoMorrows publishing to direct me to articles in the Kirby Collector (I used to subscribe) about Jack Kirby and Marvel that would correspond to the book I bought from them about FF #s 1-108. What was going on with Thor and Captain America while Jack was in his phone-it-in stage with FF is of interest to me. He just sort of smiled and nodded at me.
A lot of costume immodesty, that did not bug my wife a bit, but look at a sketchbook with the standard half-clad amazon and I'm sleeping on the couch for a week.
Did the chin nod to a few people whose faces I recognized from Comic Fest. Saw Mark Evanier trudging his way down the hall, breathing heavy and disheveled and said to my wife, "He's famous."
"Glamorous," was her response.
In my quick scan, I did not get any inkling of any of the upcoming movies for the summer which seemed both odd and refreshing.

No movie hype. That is refreshing.

Sounds cool. I guess the con season has begun in earnest.

Ben! Thanks for the shout out! Glad you and Jackie made it. My only regret missing the Con is that I was denied joining the two of you. We coulda' hit the food trucks again!

Those sketchbooks are still hangin' around, huh...? 'Fraid Stuart will never be able to unload those remainders...(they do have some fun original drawings in the back--just as the sticker claims).

Hope you guys are well. Invite us to another dance recital--I won't drop the ball on tix this time!

Looked at this photo again...mine surely must be the LEAST appealing of that lot!

Don't judge your book by the other's covers. There were some head scratchers not in the frame.
