Scribbles vs Doodles

I think these are scribbles.
Photoshop toned.
Done on a 2 by 3 gummed edge notepad I keep in my pocket for Shuttle Van sketching.
To balance scribbles for Tuesday Art
A nice King Kong link

The guy in the lower right is Ant Dude.
Above that is a guy eating a chichuachua burger. There's an Asian gut that likes to joke about his country? (he won't tell us which) eating dogs and they are tasty. Drawing failed but I'll return to the theme when I'm on the Van Sunday.

4 days off. Going to package up Trophy and send it to Creepy/ Dark Horse.

Try to get something half as fun as Fume going as a personal project.

I really should edit before I hit publish.

Elz! These are great! And I love the idea of you "getting more personal" with your work--altho' in some ways, whenever you are doing the drawing, the personal will inevitably be present. And that's independent of the subject matter, really--as long as the subject "resonates" for you.

My two cents.

A "Van Sunday" comic of the characters who coalesce around an Arklahoma transport depot sounds laden with possibilities!!

I'd rather do an indy movie with my van crew.

But you're right. The Van could be an instant web series of strips. But because it would involve humorously flawed but instantly recognizable characters, I would never do it where it might be found out.

I did pack up the Trophy story and send it to Dark Horse.

We'll see how that works. Interesting trivia. I gave Dave Scroggy a ride in my old subaru brat back in 1986 for some Pacific comic business. This was right before he and a couple of other people started Dark Horse.

Guess I should have mentioned that in the cover letter.
