FUME Extras

My copies of FUME, ordered through Marty's store, just arrived.
Gorgon is great.
That goes to Scott Sackett.
He also has a personalized copy of FUMEwith the cosplayer scene.

Nice extra Marty. I'm sure Scott will appreciate it.
I dig my pastoral scene too.

Too much fun! Terrific as always! I can't see to get mine!

Elz! Dude, so glad you like 'em. I went overboard with the Gorgon--but then, it's so fun to color 'em in. I figured the last thing you need is more dumb Marty sketches on loose-leaf fer yrself...but once I'd done Scott's, I figured I should slap something in the back of his book, and just got carried away with Crystal Gold Persuasion....

On a semi-related note, random people have been suggesting I get on this new trend for "Adult Coloring Books"(sadly not that kind of Adult Coloring Book).

I am pretty sure I should feel insulted by this.

Yes, what Rick and Jim said!

If they were for adults only you could call them "Off-Coloring Books". Hey, million-dollar idea of the week!

Rickart said...

You should not feel insulted.... actually, an adult coloring book of caricatures of famous folks doing silly things might be a pretty great idea.

Tom: Million dollar idea indeed!

And cheap to print... not color!

p.s. my drapery remains startlingly unconvincing, and Ellis, is yr scanner really that crap?

Marty, I goofed with the levels a bit on my drawing. And did a level push on all of them. Possibly I messed up your color and values. Made them too dark. Or are you reacting to some other quality you're seeing. Resolution frinstance. It's only 150.

Davis Chino said...

No no, it's not the levels, etc--it's the big swipe of discoloration that cuts thru each image...not a color thing, just an even-scanning thing...?

No matter--I am extremely flattered that you liked 'em enough to scan and share them.

BUT re: the scanner...I bet you could find a second (or third) hand model that does a better job? People are chucking printer/scanner all the time 'cuz the printer stops...I have a Canon MX850 that's been a warhorse...the whole MX800 was pretty good, I think. Maybe you can find one holding some hardware store's front door open...??

Marty. It's probably the show through of the page under the sketch page in the comic. When you push the levels , you pump up what had been kinda faint and mush less annoying. I don't think it's a problem on the big sketch in bristol board. No show through.
