My A.P.E. Con Banner--IN COLOR!

This will be my banner for APE Con. I'm sure anybody else on this site woulda' done a better job composing the thing--but my main goal was to communicate three things:

1. ART: show how the book looks inside.
2. FUNNY: show a sense of humor.
2. Handmade--but without looking "homemade."

I would like to do a much slicker job of the half-toning of certain panels to drop them back...but this was the best I could do in a pinch.

p.s. can there be a better pitchman than The Teen Ellis?? I think not!

Love it. Can't wait to see shots of you standing next to it Unfurled.

You might consider a horizontal banner layout for a second item from (viataprint?). That one to go across the front of the table.
Might be a better for advertising than the vertical banner. Which can be a problem with , the tsand, the placement sharing your seating and how much of all that great art can be seen.

Discoveries I've made myself at the sooner con

I eventually want one of those banners. I've already got the stand.

I agree with Ellis that the bottom 3rd won't be visible to the crowd... unless... How much table space do you have? If you have the space to spare you could put the banner on your table.
At any rate, I think it looks great. I think the only thing I would add is perhaps to fill the FUME letters with a color, such as RED.

Shouldn't it be red? Green is likely to confuse people.

GOODSON...! Y're messing with me...I hope.

I can see that red. So I am messing with you. Even though...green is more fume like.

Your banner looks SO good! Really, Teen Ellis is one of the greatest characters to enter the comics world in the last twenty-plus years. He's kind of up there with "Herbie Popnecker". I hope you find a way of working Li'l Okie Ellis into the same universe also.

Tom, you are too funny!

Now I have to look up "Herbie Popnecker" who I've never heard of, and which makes me wonder, was that comment a compliment--or a crack?? (either way, it's nice to be noticed)

...and yes--I definitely have to get back to Lil' Okie Ellis!
