Done mostly while watching SCUM, British boys-in-reform-school-movie.

Sorry. You missed it. This guy , some sort of dealer and producer for the scifi channel, tracked down every page of original art for FF 12. Presented the folio to Stan Lee to react to. He was pretty blown away, especially by the notes in the margins from himself. He talked about how Kirby ran with his story but he felt a lot of joy at this proof that he had a lot of specific things to add to the Kirby take.

has a tease of the program. The clip I tried to link to was a fixed camera watching Stan go through the entire portfolio.
Still working on your own comic Ellis?
I just sent for a book on digital inking. And I'm trying to get a style set before I plunge. Doing some Kirby thinking.
GOD I love your sketches, Ellis!
Thanks Beata! You made my day.
I just got my book on digital art. I'm on chapter 3. Good stuff. I'll try and get it all read by tomorrow.
Give everyone a review.
Ellis has so many different styles, its amazing. I like the simple line quality in the portraits.
...and that simple, strongly posed figure at the top--can see that working its way into a comic.
Mignola went "simple"--or should I say, "reductive" shapes in silhouette--you could do something more like a Gary Gianni, but sketchier, simpler--almost the opposite approach of Big Mig, but working toward same spare effect...
Love it.
