As I study this, your anatomy is very good and obviously knowledgeable. But the draftsmanship, calligraphy of it has a smidge of Kirby to it. Which I like. And Kirby was all about anatomy , schmatomy, is it dynamic. So nice blend. Lot of energy and cool accuracy.
Tom, I did a quick edit on your art. Do you want to see it? I had one Tagster blow out a vacuum tube when I edited his art. I thought I'd best ask first.
I'm not sure why I picked Noel. Maybe it was a reference to Noel Coward. Anyway, it sounds like a most civilized name in contrast to the action taking place.
I cheated. I took both pictures into Photoshop and put them on different layers, then clicked the top layer on and off. A definite improvement Ellis, and a valuable lesson for me! Thanks. In case I've never said it before, I have learned a lot over the years just observing your drawings as you post them on this site. I don't think you should delete your version.
The other day I ran across a drawing you did of my comic characters which you posted on TAG. A robot, a super-hero, and a fat bird all fighting. It made me laugh.
Funny you would post just now Ellis. I was wondering who, if anybody, would be looking in on the TAG site on Thanksgiving Day. I was going to leave a comment just to see who would respond to it.
Tom's puzzling art always promotes several looks. I thought it was Noel Gallagher and the rest of Oasis were having one of their usual spats. Happy Day After...

I like the anatomy delineation. Lot of nice draftsmanship ideas there stylewise. Looks like a brochure for a play.
Yes. I'm thinking a muscical comedy.

Detail where it's needed and simplification where it's not. Love the dynamic shapes. The color is working well on here, too.
At first blush, seeing the word "Noel" makes it looks like you are making some sort of Christmas statement. Is that were this is going?

Ha ha. Please show me the edited art.

Ok. I'll add it to this post. And then I'll delete it at the end of the day. Your job, one and all, is to spot the difference in my version.

Mine is the Frazetta deal of the silhouette should rule vs realism. This one

Every artist in the world would figure out where her other arm was and have it doing something.
Yours is great. Like I said earlier it's got Kirby energy and great poses etc. I just wanted to make a little visual note that occurred to me.
Actually , the only reason I did this was the guy who blew the tube made the comment "You never do that with Tom Moon!"

Your link is invalid when I paste it into the browser.
Hmm . It works for me when I corral all of it. I have to look that piece of art up. I remember it just slightly.
I love it when you two guys blab at one another! It really makes me posting almost unnecessary.
That was pretty instructive, Ellis... that's for sharing that. And Thanks to Tom for allowing it.
Did you get your colors with photoshop or with pencil color?
I drew the whole thing using blue pencils, scanned it and took it into Photoshop and played with the Levels and Colors.

Just eat your fucking turkey and leave me alone!
I kid. Between psychotic episodes.
Present and accounted for!
Does the day after Thanksgiving count?
Tom's puzzling art always promotes several looks. I thought it was Noel Gallagher and the rest of Oasis were having one of their usual spats. Happy Day After...
Day After Thanksgiving counts half a point.
Left over dark meat and stuffing is the best.
