I have a Devo DVD with the extras of the band telling their life story. Great entertainment.

Love the drawings. You're always linking up rhythm in your work. I like the character with the big mouth

What's the guy with the big mouth cowboy hat and exposed genitals saying? I cant read it. We could make it a fill in the blank contest. My entry ...."I'm in a brokeback mood pardner!"

Nice sketches, especially the ones of Mark Mothersbaugh and the seated girl. I'd also like to see the original word balloon contents of the cowboy.

I'm glad DEVO puts smiles on other people's faces too!

What's it called??

He's a ripoff of GOOM, and he is saying, " GORE! GORE! GORE! GORE!" This is because I was playing Chrono Trigger the other day, for purely nostalgic reasons, and the monster I was fighting spoke this unto me.

Thanks Deane D!

I've been enjoying your work for some time now, Kali. It's been therapeutic for me, in a way, as your work reminds me of why I like cartoons and comics so much in the first place. You seem determined to have fun with every drawing and it's infectious. Between TAG, your blog and the inspirational rants and artistic dissections of John K, well, I'm itching to actually start having fun with pen and paper again. Thank you and keep it up!

One of my favorite games is the original 'Jak and Daxter' by Naughty Dog. I think Mothersbaugh wrote and performed the music for it and the subsequent J&D sequels. His tunes really complemented the visual style of the game.

Thanks Surlybird! I'm guessing your Tom?

Hey Ellis! Did you know that Mark Mothersbaugh approached John to do music on Ren adn Stimpy (he was working there at the time on Rugrats), but John turned him down? True story, I guess John was expecting to hear something Devo-like when he heard his demo reels, but instead was surprised to hear nothing but synth.

Actually, I'm Ronnie, though I wouldn't mind being Tom. That way I would have fantastic artistic skills and the ability to crush evil-doers with my jiu jitsu powers.

Ronnie is my cousin. We're almost identical twins but he's 30 years younger.
Speaking of the appearance of youth,

John K is 2 years younger than me. But when I met him at that Otis senior show, I thought I was looking at a guy about Ronnie's age. How does he come by that unlined face? Botox? Genes?

I did not know that he had turned down Mothersbaugh for music.

Mothersbaugh runs neck to neck with Danny Elfman on prolificness. I guess Elfman gets the higher profile stuff.

You've disabled comments on your Blog. Or something.

I was going to tell you Michael's Wife was hilarious. Great work.

You and Eddie are great in it. I like the destaurated Eddie half and you in full color. Is that Post after effects type of work?

Everyone go see it on Kali's Blog.

I'm sorry Ronnie! Now I know!

"John K is 2 years younger than me. But when I met him at that Otis senior show, I thought I was looking at a guy about Ronnie's age. How does he come by that unlined face? Botox? Genes?"

Haha, lots of face lotion? He definitely works out like crazy.

Thanks Ellis about my poopy student film, haha. I wish I had spent more time on it- but most of my time, as you know, went toward my senior project, among other things. Maybe I spread myself a little too thin... ya I definitely messed with the colors, originally though it was supposed to all be b & w, but the experiment came out half-alright.

I didn't disable comments on my blog! Eddie thought that too... I just changed it from saying Post Your Comment to something student about apes and tails, I wonder how many others I've confused....
