Zynga?

Maybe I'm the last to hear about this, but apparently Zynga is building a branch up in Carlsbad, hopefully bringing some video games job opportunities to San Diego! Anyone else know about this?

Well, I know about Zynga, but I hadn't heard that they were going to branch out to SD. They are opening a shop up here in Seattle, too. I think they feel like they've hired everyone they can hire in the bay area and are looking for other places to find people, particularly places that already have folks with the skills that they are looking for.

It's good news, I would say. I don't care much for the sorts of games they design, but I'm all for more folks finding work in the industry. I would also say that Zynga has introduced a lot of people to gaming on Facebook, people that we have been able to make into Bejeweled Blitz and Zuma Blitz fans. :)

I've got 30 Rock in my netflix instant queue. I'm on number 4.
Frigging genius characters and writing.
Interesting to be behind on 5 years of pop culture.

Tomorrow I will be catching up on how bad or good the new Tron was.

HA! You're way ahead of me, Ellis. In fact, I long ago gave up even trying to stay current.

Beata, so many social commentary clowns wrote about Fey's politics, I assumed I wouldn't like it. One view of Alec Baldwin as the GE exec and you're on board for whatever they do.
I'm up to 9 now. I'll probably see about 15 percent of the shows run before the days out.

Pop Culture dis affection. I aopply for a job with Zynga without playing a single game. Not seriously anyway. I loaded Farmville.
