X-Men: First Class Title Sequence

It's NOT Saul Bass, but I found this amusing

Nice work. The thing most likely to get nipped is the Our Man Flint music. Music suit worry seems to be youtube's biggest concern. The Sumner Redstone effect.

Jimmy (& Ellis) did either of you go and see this?? The film reviewers on the radio really loved it...go figure.

Me, I can't get my head around an SR71 involved in the Cuban Missle Crisis...

Woe ho ho.

If anyone hasn't seen it yet, and you can still find it in the theaters, go see 'Rango.' Pretty fun little movie.

Surly! I really liked Rango too! I esp'ly appreciated that it tried a (slightly) different approach to that well-trod CGI talking-animal movie. Great appreciation for the physical beauty of the desert, and the decay the desert inflicts on physical objects.

But my in-laws hated it--including my 11 year-old 1/2 brother & sister (long story....). They disliked it SO MUCH, in fact, that they've made the word "Rango" a joke at their school. If something's really bad, they say, "It's bad--but it's not RANGO bad!"

I said, "Wait--isn't that joke, 'It's bad--but it's not RANJO bad!'"

Rango is on the list. I'll put it on "saved" right now.

Yes I saw it yesterday. I've read good and bad reviews but I feel this MADE up for the last 3 movies. Glad it didn't have ANY "A" listers hogging the screentime. It roughly plays off the first 2 movies, IT has a bunch of continuity flaws from both film and comic, once you just accept that it's a real fun 2 hours. The SFX were by John Dykstra. The spirit of the comics is more prevalent here than any of the other films and ALL the characters get decent screen time to show off their powers unlike past films. They got this ok kid playing Banshee but he had some great action scenes in his flying/powers and I liked Beast too. Just don't be too critical watching this and you'll have fun. A few Easter eggs to watch out for and NO after credits surprise either.

Out of touch Ellis didn't even realize this was a real movie. I thought it was a fan "wished for"
notion. Netflix when it rolls through. Which may be soon. It didn't do spectacularly.
