Kirby Meets TAG

Saw the Kirby anniversary yesterday...prompted me to look at some Inhumans images on tumblr today. I started doodling a little tribute and wandered onto this...I started laughing so much I had to see it through.

Why is it always so much easier to sketch a lark than "serious work"?

Too cool. I love being portrayed as any pointy-eared character!

Super nice piece. I recognize Beata. Not sure about the rest of the characters.
Great anatomy looseness.
I know that larks come from a different part of the processor. The non judgmental part.
If you could crank out work this fun and loose the same way Kirby could crank it out, you too would soon be legend.

Jack Kirby. Dead 20 years.

I think people are stunned at this great drawing. Struck dumb by it. They think, what can I say. And don't say anything. I shared it with the OK Comic Creators and expected some "wowsers!" Like I say. Struck dumb.

What I posted...

I'm a lucky guy. Marty Davis loves to caricature me. This one to honor Jack Kirby.

Got this reaction (Bennet is a very good pro comic book artist)

Jerry Bennett- Dude, that is AWESOME. I'm a bit jealous.

Thanks, El--that is a very kind way to interpret it!

I'm afraid I fell short of a truly exceptional likeness for Sgt. Goodson, tho'....
