The Falcon head dress is very cool. It's a hood ornament in profile. You know what needs ornamentation like this. Motorcycle helmets. Not 2D either. Right down the middle of the top of the helmet with this sort of design. Resin over something spongy so it adds to the shock absorbing ability of the helmet.
I just re-blogged a Yonwoo Cho piece done in Z-brush. Very apparent to me you need to kick out the jams on z-brush and do some of your creations. At that point you could send for 3D print out, then do resin casts. Easy peezy. Almost nothing you've been doing has bad undercuts. One piece molds. Great little garage kits. This very ornate monster that Yongwoo has done. I'm pretty sure I could pull that out of a one piece mold.
Ellis may be on to something here... it would be very cool to see some of these neat designs in 3D.
Yeah! Looks so cool. I love Ellis's idea of "Helmet Ornaments." And the 3D computer art angle...? It's the wave of the future! ;-)
Love the headpiece Jim! Ancient Egyptian culture is always a great source for visual inspiration.
Yes it is Tom, very ornate. Always a good inspiration source. Yeah...once I get a full time gig I'll have to look into getting ZBrush.
"They say she's easy.""Why's that?""She always dresses like a Horus."Bada-boom!
