Ha ha! That is one cool monster!
Reminds me of that Kirby-whale from the early Fantastic Four! One of my favorite Kirby monsters. Great job!
Gorgeous Rick. Great composition. Really makes the eye happy.
The Kirby Whale is exactly what I thought of too.
Really fun!Is it just me, or does the Whale Monster look like he's maybe channeling Michael Jackson a little bit with that crotch-grab gesture? Is that just the scan?Either way--a real thriller!!
Well, he can't reach his crotch with those little arms, so I don't think he's pulling a MJ.I tried to find the Kirby whale of which you speak without any luck. Can someone point me to a picture of him?
A sour (MODOK)faced Loaf of Bread head monster. Has a Kirby-esque quality for sure. FUNNY
So since you have never seen the Kirby whale, what was your inspiration for your monster Rick?
Imagine the Human Torch with Bill Murray's voice.Stan Lee Presents
It's part of a Dorothy story where the Store visits a planet that has a giant monster problem. This is a monster I originally created for the story some time ago. Although he's changed a bit over time. the essential elements are the same. Kirby hadn't crossed my mind, but I suppose in some ways any giant comic book monster is influenced by Kirby.
