Ultraman Color Studies

Click on the title for the link.

My friend did some color studies from Ultraman that you might find interesting. Check it out. Oh and he left Sony last month to be head of story on Astroboy. Don't worry, we all told him not to "fuck it up."

Tell your friend Bob that his work is terrific. Anyone have a copy of Rocket Town? I'd like to look through it. Couldn't find it on Amazon.

Did you ever guide color scripting Jeff? It would be impossible for me. Set down a pure bright yellow next to pure bright green, and I couldn't tell where one ended and the other began. His stuff is great

Try this, Tom...

I look forward to seeing his plastic tractor on Easter! ... at least that's what I assume that thing on his blog is for...

Cool. I like it. but I'm confused at his statement on his blog about Ultra Q and Ultraman. Doesn't he know they are two seperate shows?

"SOON TO BE OUTTA WORK IN SEVEN MONTHS!" Maybe.....corporate merger by Sith lords." Doesnt look good. I trust my instincs. Evil people in SUITS. Can't trust them.

Oh...I tried to call Shel but no answer or answering machine. May have to stop by this weekend to follow up. IKYAP!

I love the rocket town art. Checked it out on the blog. In the realm of Children books, I sent for The Idiots Guide to Publishing Childrens Books. I sent some good blurbs for it and I'm rolling in dough so I thought I'd check it out. i'll review it when i get it.

Hopefully Shel is okay. Krayonzilla called me and said his machine wouldn't answer. It could mean lots of differenet things. Including a broken answering machine.

"I sent some good blurbs" should be "I saw some good blurbs." Maurie, are you lurking out there? Have you heard of this book?

I'll let Bob know you guys like his stuff.

Tom - I have a few copies if anybody wants one. He printed them through a cheap printer in China. Good work. A few screw ups. Reasonable prices.

Rick - yes he will be bringing his tractor. He's thinking about shipping it because it' s too big to fit in the back of a rented SUV.

Ellis - No I've never did color scripting. My color sense is not that good.

Jim - We gaijin don't know anything about the actual Ultraman timelines. We only know the original one and that's it. Thanks to YouTube I've experienced the magic that is the UltraFamily.

So you're out of a job in 7??? At least you have some lead time to get the portfolio ready. Do it NOW!!! No more toys for you.

SHEL! SHEL!!! Scott has something to do with this...I feel it in my nuggets.

Love to see Rocket Town Jeff. By the way, it looks like I will be coming up to Imageworks for that tour and demo next Wednesday. I'll be riding up with Mr. Shoopack.

No MORE TOYS! Are you kidding? Thats like telling a crackhead, no more crack.

It's a maybe on the job. still up in the air on any fallout of the merger. I'm getting tired of this crap.

Got hold of Shel. Appearently he's been getting in house medical care for his diabetes. Had some sore infections on his leg. Says it's clearing up. Told him everybody says hello.

Jeff.....We gaijin? don't know anything about the actual Ultraman timelines. I know it all mister!
But I am an Eiji Tsuburaya purist, Ultra Q, Ultraman and UltraSeven. After he passed away, the later Ultras just got silly.

And when are stories about 40 story tall heroes NOT silly?

Oh, and how can I get in on that Imageworks tour!? :)

"And when are stories about 40 story tall heroes NOT silly?"

REPHRASE

The stories and production values got cheap and silly, especally the monsters.
