March MODOK Madness rough

It's time once again for March MODOK Madness... this is my rough for the month long event.  I'm focused on updating his tech a bit.

Here's the final.  It was fun.

It's already awesome, even in its rough state!

Very nice. That big eye socket reminds me of how Greg Irons, old underground comix guy, did some of his monster eye calligraphy. Pretty gruesome. Keep the rough energy if possible.

Final looks great!

Final is very good. Your art always makes me want to do one and I never follow through. Maybe this March.

Are you going to sell prints of this Modok?

Hmmm... I dunno. Do you think it might sell? I was considering it.

I think anything that references "familiar" imagery has the best chance of selling. Not to say that the original stuff we do isn't going to sell. It's just that there's always that extra sales barrier when people look at something and have to process it by saying, "Hmmmm, what's this?" I have a video of TAG at Denny's in 2009 where Scott talks about how Cork is selling and he says, "Well, it's okay, but because there's no mainstream recognition to the product people just look at it and do the "Hmmm, what's this?... Interesting," and then walk away.

You got a point there, sir.
