RIP production designer Robert Kinoshita (February 24, 1914 -
December 9, 2014) who designed two of the most iconic robots for film
and television - Robby and B-9. JMG added: Here's a Robby Flashback. I forgot all about this.
I thought that album cover was almost on the level of a Deathlok concert. I interpreted the blades of glass as people. I was thinking "What did they do with that balloon?"
The world needs giant robots. For peaceful goals of course.

As I recall, there was one Lost in Space episode where Robby was a guest star.
Robby got around... he was the go-to robot suit for rent for TV shows. I'm surprised he never turned up on Star Trek.
"Correction: not robot - robotoid."
Robby appeared in 2 episodes of LIS.
Lost in Space: Season 1, Episode 20
War of the Robots (9 Feb. 1966). as The Alien Robotoid
Lost in Space: Season 3, Episode 1
Condemned of Space (6 Sep. 1967) as the Space Prison Guard
Kinoshita also designed Tobor the Great (1954)

They changed Robby's head from the Forbidden Planet days. At least his TZ appearance had a different head. Or workings inside the head.
