Awesome Tom, love the textures. I am NOT worthy!
To be fair, I should have called this "COMPOSITE Sketchbook Doodle" since as per my usual method, this is several separate sketchbook doodles assembled in Photoshop to make a composition out of them.
I was going to ask just that because of the line weights on the ones more to the back. I have to get that smart and work in pieces like that. Great creatures. I like how they are all different but the same. Blobular and tentacled but different.
Have you ever looked at R. Crumb's The Book of Genesis? There are some line use similarities and he takes on a huge thematic, story-telling project, touching on similar themes to your stories (duh, it is Genesis afterall).
Tommy, we get so spoiled by the intricacies of yr worlds, the detail of yr art, and the profundities of yr story-telling...and then you post a lovely thing like this to remind us again how magical (and deep!) even the simplest elements of yr art-making can be.Beautiful.
That is t-shirt material right there... you could make some money with that kind of stuff. Denise is fond of octopi... she'd probably really dig this.
