I think a lot of these are new

Very funny. But it does make me think how digital painting makes something like this possible...would anyone spend that much time making a serious "painting" from a kid's doodle? (Answer: they would if they knew they could get a lot of "looks" on the internet).

And by that I don't mean to dismiss the whole enterprise. And I don't mean to dismiss kid's doodles, which are obviously cool, and filled with the sort of spontaneity and "creativity" that so much professional art lacks (my own stuff included).

And the genius of this series is the way it sets up that contrast between current hi-end art-production methods (super-slick digital "paintings" that look more painterly than anything most people could probably do with real oils), and the straight-from-the-hip freshness of a kid's drawing. A great way to celebrate both ends of the spectrum.

And with a laugh.

I believe the paints are traditional media.
