Illustrator Doodle

Got a lot of fine, 1 pixel thick strokes around most of my fills. Also I have two types of hair highlights. The blobby one is done with the pen tool. The others are the brush tool. The pen tool with patient application would probably make a good hair highlight maker.

I put a Rod Laver forearm on her. It bugs me now. Maybe she needs it to handle the big cats.

This came out lighter than the cintiq image. Someday I'll get that thing dialed in

Very mysterious feel to it because of the cat silhouette, but at first I thought it was a little guy dressed in a flour sack or pillow case - like a ghost costume Tubby Tompkins would wear on Halloween. What is the shape behind the cat?

Lightness to pop the cat head was all I was thinking. Then I realized I'd made a cave mouth

Ellis, yr comments are so funny...!

This looks real good. When it's a computer-born, image I prefer this level of ersatz texture/brushwork. Which means not too much...seems more honest. The image itself has to do your talking for you. So much of the stuff I see anymore is computer work done with huge amount of time and sophistication poured in to making it look like it was drawn with real pencil and pen and paint of real paper...easier to hide behind the phony flash of such images, I think. But something like this--it's honest!

I like it. (Yr cave mouth comment is hilarious, but I never mistook the shape for anything other than a background blob...I'm sure you could finesse it some more, but then, isn't that always the case with everything we do here?!)

Illustrator is very fun to doodle with. Click a "bad" line with the select arrow and delete it. Just make a mess with construction and gesture, come back with the arrow and clean it up. Still rough but tidier.

I was thinking about "inking" your rocker character tomorrow.

Watching after effect tutorials right now.

Blender-After Effects-Illustartor- too much software static.

Of course Marty, you know I should be concentrating on my final draft product. I'll make some time for that as well.
