Well it's moving time again

Been over a month since my Dad passed. So much has happened, All the house goods have been claimed, sold or hauled off. All my crap is the only stuff in the house now and I've been working on packing that up for a move to a new apartment about 8 miles from here. Nice place and near lots of shopping and a clean modern area. Got a lease for only 6 months as the house needs to be sold and when that's done I'll get my remaining cut of the estate and can decide if I'll return to San Diego.
This is all so numbing still.

Hang tough. Start to rudder toward what you want to do in your heart of hearts.

You've gone through a ton of negative. You deserve a lot of positive.

Is it wise to move from the house and pay rent? That's a lot of cash out the window.

No choice.....house has to be redone inside......ALL of it. Smokers DAMAGE shit. And if I just moved to SD right away I'd pay FAR more $$$$ to live. So this is my 6 month downtime to deflate from all this and properly plan my move to SD

Probably the way to go. My own estate issues with Mom and Dad's place will be between Russ and me. As I've said before. Russ is trying to self destruct before Mom leaves. To me it is just the ultimate luxury of no rent, That's a lot of money. Not to be recreated any where I go. Is the thing between you and the sister that you couldn't continue living in something she wanted to see money value?

House is trashed.....too much rot that has to be fixed before it's even sold. Old people don't fix things. One of the reason buying a house is a scam. It falls apart when you don't upkeep it then you die and it's a burden to family and whatnot (Like my situation now). Renting is better.....upkeep is someone else's problem. You get tired of it....you move. A lot simpler. "ultimate luxury of no rent" is no luxury.....taxes, upkeep etc are all part of that mess. No thanks. I'll get my cut and move on at this point. My only problem is the liquidation of MY stuff.....which is what I'll concentrate on during this time before returning to SD.
