I use the streaky brush with no attempt at detail.
So I get painterly because I can't be any thing else.
I consider this close to finish.
I have more EN World freelance coming. So you'll be seeing that.

It looks great! Makes me think of the Psycho mom ambulating...beneath a freeway underpass (taking revenge against that "new highway" that drove away all the Bates Motel biz...???)
Thanks Marty. That's supposed to be one of those gas station island - big chunk of square roof type of covering. I'll make it clearer.
I love that overgrown fishbowl drawing... it's always great to have an illustration that promotes curiosity. It gives the viewer just enough information to want MORE information by reading the accompanying text.
