Tuck Me In

I want to do a little movie making. Going to start small. Youtube size. Inspired by this 2 sentence horror story. Here's the sentences for the one pictured

I begin tucking him into bed and he tells me, “Daddy check for monsters under my bed.” I look underneath for his amusement and see him, another him, under the bed, staring back at me quivering and whispering, “Daddy there’s somebody on my bed.”

Here are my two sentence "stories."

1. I see the happy hobo, a dingy Santa Claus, swing his sack from his shoulder, maybe expecting a sale instead of a hand out. I smile back into his childish face before looking into the sack of eyes that look back at my frozen face.

2. I jerked awake on the couch, slapping my area for the TV remote to quiet the blaring volume. The sound suddenly lowered, enough for me to hear the tap and see the hand holding the remote outside the window.

3. I steadied my right hand with my left as I brushed detail enamel onto my dummy's mobile eyes. The eyes turned into slot-pull blurs and crashed to a stop on two graphic death heads.

I have a couple of ways to see and hear the things you are talking about. I have the Sony reader for books. It handles most everything but kindle.

Did you write this book? I want to hear/read it.

I've been listening to Brad Thor thrillers./ Good, with the qualification that he drops BIG stones in the stream of the story sometimes to get a little politicking done.

"...drops big stones in the stream of the story"...!

Love it.

No, it's Scott McMahon's new book on movie making in the digital age. It's got TONS of useful stuff--and not only for movie making (tho' there's lots of practical stuff there, too), but essential advice for ALL of us on how to determine your audience, how to connect via social media, etc.--and how to make a buck!

"How to Make and Sell Your Film Online--and Survive the Hollywood Implosion!!" Look it up on Amazon!!
Timothy Carey in "Crime Wave" on the TV RIGHT NOW!

Crime Wave! That's the one that James Ellroy did commentary on. Where I learned his love of Carey. Just drop your wife off in this guy's care.

Frankie Avalon mentions Carey on a Gilbert Gottfried podcast. He was also crazy about him. "Hey Boo-Bie."
It's downloadable. Frankie is about halfway down the page and they don't mention Carey until the end.

Kinda the same role as Crime Wave. Holding cute women captive.

I want that Carey biopic because I want to know what idiot looped Carey's voice out of East of Eden.
