A quick doodle while watching Thor

Thought I rough doodle a bit while watching TV. Brush pen and pencil. Had some "Me" time from all the drama lately and it was quiet.

"...quite..."?

"...nice?"

Love the sketch! And glad you've gotten a little "me time"...which always goes nicer with a little Thor time.

We went to see "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" tonight. Very good...better than those comic book movies!

Yeah, quiet and nice. You heard all the racket on the phone. It's like that every 5 minutes. Only when she goes to bed do I have any peace. Trying to keep scissors, Super glue, and the TV remote out of her hand is a battle. It really is like dealing with a child, a stubborn one. ugh

Best thing you've ever done. Trend this way

Drawing is a sanity-saver. I recently re-discovered that. This is a nice little gem, Jim. Keep at it and hang in there!

I don't know if it's the best thing you've ever done, but I quite like this... very lively and interesting. I agree with Ellis that IMHO this is a good path for you.
I keep hearing good things about this new ape movie... I didn't really care for the first reboot that much, so I wasn't planning on heading to the theater right away on this one.
BTW, I saw Frank and Robot recently. Terrific SciFi movie without all of the SciFi trappings. SciFi on a human scale. refreshing and poignant. And a very believable robot.

I just let the pen flow and let the lines take shape. No plan, real freeform. Figured I'd post it

Great sketch. Getting lost in a drawing is the perfect therapy.
