I like the paintings as paintings, but the "feel" of them was all wrong for Battlestar Galactica. Don't you think?

Same with all of Frazetta's Lord of the Rings drawings. They felt too comic-bookie, too raw and physical for the subject matter. Tolkien wasn't that kind of writer.

Is that woman in the top painting wearing anything?

Art director wisely saying, "Just do what you do Frank."

Especially the one with the executioner. Someone OKed that without a care whether it was an accurate depiction of BG.

I remember these ads appearing in TV Guide and being very impressed by them. I don't know if I knew who Frazetta was at that time, but I recognized the style from book covers of the time.
