Enter The Void - I Can't Watch It


So, special fx extravaganza. Always worth a look. Free, streaming on netflix. It's from the pov - looking right through the eyes- of one guy. Great for showing off your 3d match move prowess. Except for the only flaw it needed for me. The guy added a strobe effect of a lightning quick black wipe. At first I thought the beginning room had a ceiling fan causing the effect. Then I realized it's a BLINK! I can't watch it. He needs to take that after effects layer, delete and re render.

I've actually fast forwarded through a lot of it. Stopping at nudity and weirdness. And the guy has a thing for strobes of all sort, Things are always flickering. Sepia cast. Very accomplished 3d copmositing but a stylistic cockleburr.

Wow. 2.5 hours. I've taken it in in 15 minutes. Another great reason to only watch it the way I just wtached it. It features a graphic trip to an abortion doctor.
