Inking in Flash

Had a very fun experience inking in Flash. It doesn't show in this exported small image because of anti aliasing, but it's very clean. And of course scalable.

I'll add the tones tomorrow and post that finish.

Love that Flash brush! So juicy!

Thanks guys. Yes Rick. That Flash brush is a dream come true to me. I've decided this will be the focus of my reel-to-be. Drawings and animations showing I can use Flash creatively.

The intended caption for the drawing is "Howard Phillips did not play well with others." The whole emphasis has become Flash to me at this point. But I'm still thinking I should try a gag a week at least.

Howard Phillips, get the reference?

Hmmm... not sure I get the reference, but this strip is still a great start!

BTW, I've posted a new Nearsighted Comic cartoon! Check it out!

Howard Phillips was the HP in HP Lovecraft.

I can't do gag cartoons.

I think it's a great gag... I think it would be worth going further with it. Keep the caption but perhaps he could have a fellow kid tied up in a chair in a basement and is about to feed spinach or broccoli to him.

I shall turn in my nerd credentials for not knowing who Howard Phillips was.

I didn't know who HP was, either, Rick. But I still loved the gag, and the cartoon -- especially the little girl. Ellis seems to be incapable of producing a drawing I don't like.

I also really enjoyed your newest Nearsighted Comic about Mordor ... my favorite, so far.
