Watching BBC Day Of The Triffids-Brad Harris-Oscar the Muppet-Maytag

Couple of these doodles came about while I watched characters on the BBC version of Day of The Triffids. Using the ROKU hardware plus netflix instant view. It's really a cool way to watch movies that are hard to find or that you'd never buy. I've seen BEAT GIRL with Oliver Reed as a young punk. Shriek of The Mutilated. Both versions of THE RAZORS EDGE. Three episodes from The AVENGERS from 1967. Warhol's HEAT. Jackie Chan Michelle Yeoh SUPERCOP.
It's the way TV ought to be. Movies and TV shows you hand pick and no commercials.

The note on the doodle about Hellblazer csme from an attack of the show note that the new one is all Simon Bisley

Added a sketch of Brad Harris and Bob Hoskins.

I have the BBC version of Day of the Triffids in my Netflix queue, but I haven't seen it yet. How does it stack up against the old 60s version?

The Wyndham book is a favorite of mine. I need to re read it. This BBC version is very close to the book. Quality acting jobs all around.
The ROKU deal is the best part. For the same money I can watch it over, watch part, any time I want to select it. I'm watching Hollywoodland right now from my mail queue and almost resent needing to stick the DVD in a machine.

'Shriek of the Mutilated' is the Yeti-slasher flick if I'm not mistaken. I posted a clip of that a year or two ago because the the Yeti costume was so insanely hilarious. How is the actual movie? It has to be delectably horrible.

Shriek of The Mutilated is incredible. It would take Olivier level acting to deliver the awful dialogue without causing cringing. They don't have any Oliviers in this flick.
The costume is like a big ZhitZhu dog.
A Yeti in a New York park.
Directed by the husband-wife team that made SNUFF.
Very entertaining believe it or not.
