I love the Michale Gagne flash animations. His animated short Prelude To Eden is online
Prelude To Eden
We watched it at work in our animation meeting.
He is a big resource for animated special effects for animated features. Ratatouille, Iron Giant, Incredibles. He does these great, bubbley, explosion and power effects. His web page has all these super shorts. I think I've posted the link before. Here it is again.

Thanks but no I didn't. But I wish I had!! He's done a few "children's" books that are fun. Also, he came to CalArts when I was there and gave us kids a good show about effects animation. That was back in the day when he was just an effects guy.
