I've started back on WAIT. I had a great ending firm up in my head. One thing I'm glad I read- is what Stanley Kubrick said about The Shining. Explain nothing . Do the visual, the story, don't explain it, especially horror. Let the audience process what occurred their own way.
It's going to cut out quite a few word balloons in the story.

I'm glad I looked up the Kubrick quote to share "‘I read an essay by the great master H.P. Lovecraft where he said that you should never attempt to explain what happens, as long as what happens stimulates people’s imagination, their sense of the uncanny, their sense of anxiety and fear.’ " So it's Lovecraft by way of Kubrick.
