Close

Maybe, just maybe, I'll have this finished before I go back to work Sunday.
I listened to Don't Tell Mom The Babysiitter Is Dead and the commentary track to Dreamscape.
Good as a kind of metronome as you work. Nothing visual to distract you.
But it activates the minds eye.
Listened to V for Vendetta while doing this page.

Elz!! Dude, this page had me cracking up!! Love it. I esp'ly love the action animals--great stuff!! The knife-in-the-eye on the croc is great!! All of it's great!

One question: is the munted human head in the last panel s'posed to be his assistant from the previous frames? I don't think it is, but their similarity made me look everything over another time to make sure...(then again, maybe that's a good thing??).

Really fun stuff. Crisp, brisk, and intriguing--makes us want to read more!

...And I love that it's just B&W--I feel I'm mucking my stuff up with all the shades of gray (about 50 of 'em...).

Yes, everything Marty said, except I had no problem seeing the hunted human as someone different from the assistant, as the assistant's face shape is round and chubby and the other head is long. But if you wanted, you could add some hair to the head-under-glass for instant differentiation.

The hunter is on the left, then the right, then the left. Then gets heavier in the blacks and sinister. Nice.

Yup... great stuff. You seem to be very well suited for this writer and the tone of the story. This is a terrific marriage of story and art.
