Portfolio update
Hey guys, I just did a portfolio update using Wix. It's nothing fancy, but it has a lot of recent art on it and is a good start. I'd be interested in hearing any feedback you might have. I still need to go into my archives and pick out some stuff, and I want to add some final game art to the Polar Bowler stuff, but I think I have some pretty solid stuff in here so far. Here's the site!

Just for starters, love this full-color polar bowler piece! Shapes, color, composition - so fun.
More feedback after I view the rest of your portfolio.
For some reason, in your "Portfolio-Current" section, clicking on the thumbnails left to right, pictures 5,6,7,8,10 and 12 come up black instead of displaying.
Oh wait. They just started working properly.
Whoops... rerouting my web address has hosed my email. It's going to change back to my old one soon (if I did the fix right). You'll still be able to see the site here: http://ric858.wix.com/rickschmitz
For starters the colors are just blazingly appealing. Rare talent you have for color. Right up there with the colors on Wreck It Ralph.
Are you paying for premium or is your site what you can do for free?
It's currently for free. I can point my URL to this new site, but I don't think I did it right because my email got messed up, too. I'm out of town this weekend, so I might give it another go next week and see if I can point to the site and keep my email as is. My old site is pretty old looking, so I feel like even if I have to eventually pay it will be worth it. I don't know what it costs, but my guess is that it's not too expensive... i think you can set up your domain and they will host it as well.
Hey, now the link takes me back to your old web site.
Tom, there's a link and an explanation for the change in the forth comment of this thread.
I will have to check this out when I get home. We're on the road in Virginia (Blair's 20 year college reunion). I'm looking fwd to it!
Cool blog and drawings Ellis, but clowns give me the creeps.
Me too. I think it is always misguided to have clowns anywhere is children's media.
Neat... do I detect a little Winsor McKay in there?
It's too stiff. But if I can find anyone doing educational software that looks at this and thinks "Hey, this guy could be a freelancer." I'd be happy.
