I've been having serious doubts about worthwhile-ness of the project I've been working on, but this cartoon by Michael Kupperman has answered all my questions and inspired me to keep at it.
Great cartoon. I'm glad the good guy won. You definitely need to have no doubt about your project Tom. I think it will get a great reception. Publishers will vie for the privelege of putting it out.
Oh my gosh, I am crying with laughter reading that page--and doing so in a public coffee shop!
Tom Moon, I can't believe you doubt the worth of yr endeavor--good lord, man, look at yr own closets! Any artform that inspires men (and women) to collect, catalog and covet its products can't be all bad.
And like everyone here sez, yr stuff in particular, is amazing!! Don't deprive us of its glorious goodness!!
Thanks guys. I've been working so long on this latest piece I've lost all perspective on it. After I finish I'll let it sit in the bottle and age so I can get a fresh read on it. Lately while I've been at the drawing desk I've been listening to this video over and over. It's Ray Bradbury giving advice to young college writers. He is just so passionate about loving the creative act of writing, one can't help but be inspired. In addition he has all sorts of anecdotes about his friendships and creative ventures with Ray Harryhausen, Gene Kelly and more. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_W-r7ABrMYU

I wish my comics were are engrossing and enigmatic as your comics, Tom. And so beautifully and lovingly rendered. Each panel is a frame-able image!
