Funny Tom. Yeah, it's tight but perfect. Unless you're like Wally in Dilbert and don't want people to be expecting "tight" from you. This is great. All the feature extras, the skin folds with lost edges...perfect. You really would scare a heyday Mort Drucker if he saw your recent body of work.
It's like John Wayne and Yakima Cannutt. Tom might not have the acting chops to do Tom Moon for the screen. But if he can find his John Wayne, that copies and studies him, that Tom Moon could be big.
1000 Year Old Hulk The idea is that being a Hulk makes you an long lived. So how does a Hulk show his age? Long flowing white hair maybe. Mellower. Maybe he shimmers as his gamma rays enter their half life death.
Yes, this drawing is much tighter than your usual Marty, but I really like it. I'm a big fan of both ends of the tight/loose spectrum, and you are talented enough to work both sides of the street successfully. Whenever I look at a Virgil Finlay piece, a thoughtful, meditative, almost religious feeling comes from the work, whatever the subject matter. That as opposed to a Jack Kirby drawing which always has that powerful, primitive energy, to it; every line full of action, it's like watching a street fight. Rather than looking labored, I would say your drawing looks "lovingly rendered".

By "it", are you referring to the lady's shorts?
Very nice. That guy standing got that Gerald Ford look.

Ha!
Tom: No, the whole overall feel. Wanted it to be "sketchier." This feels labored...which it is.
Thank you for the kind words, Jimbo. And it's true--I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but he does look like Ford!
Ellis, now you're being ridiculous...but thank you!
Hey, you gotta post that Hulk picture for Tom. I totally agree with you--I can see Tom letting his hair grow out, too!
Think of the Hollywood acting jobs he could get.
(Seriously, Tom, long hair or no, have you ever thought about doing extra work...or character acting?!?!)

THIS is the greatest proof possible of the subconscious manifesting thru art.
Ellis sees Tom as the Hulk.
As we ALL do.

What Tom said. Lovingly rendered. LOVE this drawing.
