I came across this gem at Heritage Auctions and my eyes nearly exploded. I thought I had seen some BAD movie poster art but I think this wins the WORST award.
As a thumbnail and layout, it's OK. Doing the forensics on what makes it "bad" might be worthwhile. Style decisions. He probably is almost on the edge of being able to do a cartoon that looks interesting. And probably much farther away from being able to do a Robert McGinnis looking illustration. Give him props for no doubt being almost 100 percent invention. I doubt he went to the trouble to get ref.
El, I wonder if it the artiste didn't take another poster (or posters) and try to (ham-handedly) use them as reference--almost looks like her semi-accurately copied some bodies, then "invented" the heads...with far less success!
Jimmy, I think we need a Krayonzilla remake of this star-crossed effort.

And Happy Belated Birthday, Krayonzilla!
I think Ron Thompson should draw your portrait!
