That's really fun seeing those transformations. I get the impression that the mainstream comics market in Europe is much more diverse in style and content than in the U.S. with its overwhelming abundace of dark, superhero slugfests.
That was really neat. At the very end of the cycle I really felt that resentment for bad digital color. They diminished the blacks to give it a pseudo painterly look. And diminished what it is,first and foremost, a line drawing. Paintings have completely different edges than line drawings.
