I'm listening to your interview right now Rick. Very cool. You are famous.

I liked the interview, good job. As for JJ Abrams Star Trek, Eyecandy for retards with plot holes sooooooo BIG you could drive the flagship Fersarius of the First Federation through it. Plus add to the plain asinine point of ignoring any Trek history what-so-ever.

So, Jim, how do you really feel about the new Star Trek?

Congrats on the interview, Rick!
I'll give it a listen hopefully tomorrow.

JJ Trek is STUPID!!!! Loading up the Federation Flagship with cadets to take it into battle.....just asinine. Where were all the other Starfleet senior officers? Blah, blah, blah. JJ should be bullwhipped. And I'll do it with pleasure.

I... um... er... kind of... um... er... um... liked the new Star Trek.

...and it was infinitely better than the last Batman movie.

Oh it's not the old Trek by any means. But I just enjoyed it for what it was. Now, in succeeding movies if they don't have anything more substantial to offer I can see getting bored quickly with it. When the original series came on in the sixties, it was "too cerebral" for T.V., and it did indeed make my thirteen-year-old brain think about things, about the future, about alien cultures, about what technology can do for us and what it can't, about logic and emotion. Some of those themes, or at least the old Star Trek approach to them, were getting pretty shopworn. Hopefully, the new franchise will evolve into something with both thought and action incorporated into it.

Amen to both posts, Tom.

Thanks, Beata!

Jim, I dig the Fesarius reference! I salute you with a cup of tranya!

Good job on the interview Rick. My favorite part was you two talking about the shared problem of dealing with management at Jostens. Making sure all danger and menace was completely drained from the visuals in the lessons.
