Nice. In the first digital sketch, the value changes, dark in front, was really interesting. Would it be possible to give a foggy background and return those values? In parts of my professional "career" I have found people who were phobic of the pen tool and any vector program. I like those tools and the situation gave me some purpose in the organization. Not enough, obviously...
I just did an art test for an application that, from what I understood on the instructions, all the assets needed to be built in Flash, which is vector. Hopefully, that worked to my advantage.
My biggest regret is not going full out learning Flash and getting a killer portfolio in the program. I really loved it and wanted to transition from games to animation via that route. Didn't happen.
It's a rat hole thinking about which programs you should have learned. When I had a job, I knew everything I needed to know to keep my job, until my job stopped. Now I don't know enough of anything to get a job. How do you anticipate that?

I also like the simple gray spider better. Maybe I'll give it to him as an option
