Superman - Bizarro Fight
I love comic-book-hero confrontations. But often I shy away from drawing super-beings punching each other. It's hard to
believe that there once was an era when super-hero action
was handled in relatively non-violent (and very creative) ways. There were fights where no one got hurt, let alone killed. The fact that comics were meant to be for little kids actually forced writers to come up with something more interesting than a simple slug fest.

Sweet nostalgia. Love that thick trunk on Superman. Ready for freestyle wrestling.
The latest Better Than Fiction Podcast is going page by page through Alan Moore (I think) with his Bizarro Superman story.
I'll get a link. They're on issue 2. I think it goes 3 issues.
Just looked it up. It's Grant Morrison, a 2005 DC run of All Star Superman. Superman stranded among the Bizarros. 12 issues!

I guess I should have known all about that run of Superman. Won awards.
That was a good series. It incorporated a lot of the old classic ideas and updated them. Beautiful art by Frank Quitely, one of the best artists working in the field today.
