My local comic book dealer tried to order a copy of Michael Midas Champion for me but was informed that it was cancelled by the publisher! I hope someone else will be picking it up. Scott, what's up?
I hadn't heard this popular truism about Hollywood. A fairly successful writer/director told me that the common wisdom is, if a script is good enough, your submission process can be throwing it out the window of a moving car. It will still find it's way into production. I think the Champion work looks like that level of inevitability. Still harsh if they pulled it out after promises were made. The thing we don't know, you creator guys might have done the withdrawing. Deal maybe just too paltry to engage.
Tom, I had to call my editor to find out what's what after you told me what happened. Apparently they, Boom! Studios, were expecting more initial pre-orders and it didn't meet expectations, so they cancelled the limited series print run but are still going to do the full graphic novel print. Unfortunately it means no start date in July for Champion and nothing to show at the Con. Oh well. It's still going to be a collected edition which is what I wanted anyways, so it's okay.

Oh good. I would prefer a collected edition too.
