Gil Kane would probably like it
At least with this movie they don't have to worry about working The Avengers into it.
Character designs look very cool. Inevitable comparisons to "looking like a video game."
I did like the nicely thought through, psychically pushed, saying of a reverential lamp oath.

Although the casting of Ryan Reynolds gave me some initial pause..
I've thought of him mostly as a
comedic actor, I'm seeing him making it work now.
The scope and the strong outer space, sci-fi elements have worked for me from the start.
This looks like an animated movie... Nothing wrong with that, but it looks a bit odd beside the live action. I kinda wish they would have bit the bullet and made the whole thing animated.
Otherwise, I have them credit for trying to take on the whole Latern Corps... the typical Hollywood route would have been inclined to keep it Earthbound... And boring.
Oh, and I find the CG costume distracting.
Jellyfish Green Lanterns may be pushing it a little bit
It's been a long time since the first Star Wars. But the Lanterns are really just Jedi Knights. The ring gives them The Force.
Huh, hadn't really thought of it that way before.
I'd buy that, Ellis, if the Jedi were running around Tatooine smacking each other around with gigantic green soup ladles ... ;-)
Good one Tom.
I wonder if the Movie will have the color yellow being the Ring's weakness.
