In Case any of you missed it in Wizard magazine, an article about another TAG member. Ed Brubaker. In the article he is certainly given ample opportunity to mention TAG in connection to his drug taking nadir but doesn't.
"I would point out certain places and go,"Oh that's the Denny's my friends and I would hang out all night at!" laughs Brubaker.
or
"A bunch of bad shit went down, and I pretty much realized that anybody whos relationship with you was based soley on the fact that you did drugs together isn't really a friend."
That last commment would definitely be pointed towards Shel or Scott. I would bet my sweet bippy on it.
Hey Tom, Ed was our cooler version of Harvey Pekar. His big thing when he was showing up on Tuesdays was arguing with Shel Dorf. At that time he was really into the bio comics that were coming out at that time. He also collaborated with another TAG member Eric Shanower who coincidentally had also lived on Guantanamo (sp)Cuba like Ed. That became the setting for the Cuban murder /pschological comic book...the name escapes me. He was mainly famous to me for allegedly pushing a piano down an elevator shaft during one of the early comiccons held at the El Cortez.
I think I know why my comments are disappearing into the great virtual void when I try to use my "regular" login -- Scribbl, you have comment moderation enabled and the first time I signed in I used my Bookartists login.
So Do I need to turn it on or off?? I will do whatever it takes for you to post! Let me know! Or do you want to be an admin so you can fix the problem? I'll just do that. OK?
Tom, Click on your name down below the comment Box and it should take you to a button to edit profile. i think you can get a picture in that way but it has a mem limit

I found two quotes that could be TAG related:
"I would point out certain places and go,"Oh that's the Denny's my friends and I would hang out all night at!" laughs Brubaker.
or
"A bunch of bad shit went down, and I pretty much realized that anybody whos relationship with you was based soley on the fact that you did drugs together isn't really a friend."

Your bippy isn't worth what it used to be, skrib. :)
Is this really someone you knew in TAG, or another TAG member namesake a la Dave Decoteau?

Thanks for the fill-in Ellis. Any new drawings to show us? I was looking forward to seeing something!
Ed also wrote a short story that Podboy inked and I penciled called "The Burning man." It was in issue #50 of Dark Horse Presents.
Off topic comment, sorry!

I wondered why we didn't hear much from you MJM!

Okay MJM I checked out the problem and fixed these things.
1. I turned off comment moderation.
2. I made you an admin.
3. I checked the member listing and when you signed on you are: mojomaca2
I can resend you an invite and you can resign-up as MJM. That might fix the problems. Cool?
Hey cool! All of a sudden all these "dead letter" posts showed up from MJM on the site!
Oh, by the way, how do I get a little picture to appear beside my posts like you all have?
I should have metioned the Burning Man.... "but we all agreed it was probably the coolest thing we had ever seen." the deadpan quote at the end.
Oh great, now are there a bunch of duplicates from when I tried to write a note, saw it didn't show up and so tried to recreate my post?
But really, Jeff -- thanks for fixing my access problems!
